DEALER COMMENTS From: Brian Cullen [bcullen@blazenetme.net] Sent: Friday, July 20, 2007 10:42 AM To: jf@sumaco.com Subject: Re: Guitar Arrived in Perfect condition Hello John, Got the guitar about 2 hours ago and have played it for about 1/2 hour. It is a really great guitar with very good tone and volume even considering that it is brand new and will take months to play in. For now I am also pleased with the evenness of volume and tone (no serious wolf notes that I can tell so far) across the fingerboard and look forward to many years playing and exploring this guitar. My congratulations and thanks to Mr Burguet! The wood on back and sides is stunning and would like to know what it is. Also what wood is used to line the back and sides ? My only negative comment is that the action is high but there is plenty of room to lower it. Also what strings are on the guitar ? What are the tuners on the guitar ? They are very smooth like butter. Please get me prices on the Flamenco's and thank you to you John for being patient with me. I received the guitars today (Monday June 19,
2006).
Thank you for e-mailing me with the UPS tracking number. I was able to
locate them in the town west of our showroom and so I expected them to
delivered today. I cleared my afternoon schedule for their arrival.
The guitars arrived in perfect condition. The
packaging worked well. The crowns in the top and back were perfect on each
one. The 1A filled our 7000 sq.ft showroom with clear powerful tone, -heads
turned to see/ hear the instrument. It sold in one hour for $2750.00! The
purchaser is an excellent young player named Andrew Grimm (his great
grandfather was the author of Grimm's Fairy Tales). You should have seen
his smile during Sevilla! This is the fourth 1A that I have sold since
October.
I have strong interest in the remaining three
3M's, I'll call the prospective buyers Tuesday. For now, I'm going to try
and keep one as a demonstration model, though. The two others are to be
sold to guitar teachers in the area. I am asking $1295.00 with the case.
The cases are very nice like you said, but
slightly overpriced in the current market at $95.00 net. Gator makes a
similar case for $45.00 net. We sell a China made arched wood case for
$89.95 retail. This is not a critical issue since we include a case with
the purchase of the guitar. But I'm sure you would want to be aware of the
current market conditions concerning cases.
John. it has been a pleasure to do business with
a professional such as yourself. Also, please forward my sincere regards to
Maestro Burguet for his wonderful guitars. His exquisite craftsmanship is
evident and appreciated by the artists who purchase his instruments from me.
The three other modelo 1A's that I have sold this year have opened-up to
become powerful rich instruments (I hear all three regularly). The 1A that
I received today is the best of the four.
I plan on making another order in the near
future, hopefully (with a 1a Brazilian rosewood for myself). We have also
received some internet inquiries, too, from your site I believe.
Until then,
Larry
